So, I had to blog this art project Kael did at preschool. The reason is, both my kids are obsessed with hot chocolate, but they totally call it cocoa (thanks to grammie). When Kael made the switch to cows millk, he didn't like it, so I'd sneak in some chocolate mix so he'd get his daily intake of milk. Anyway, long story short, it's the first thing my kids ask for when they wake up in the morning. It's not, "Good morning mom!", it's, "I WANT COCOA !" (DODOA) if sissy says it. So, as you can see, this picture has a special place in my heart.

A sad day to remember

As you all know, President Hinckley passed away tonight. Although I am sad for this loss, it was time for him to leave this life and join his sweetheart. He has been an amazing leader of our church, and I have such a strong testimony of him. I am thankful for his example and sweet spirit that has touched my life for so many years. This day also holds a special place in my heart because 6 years ago today, my sister-in-law passed away as well. And to make this even more interesting, her and President Hinckley shared the same birthday, June 23rd (my wedding anniversary)! So, to enter and leave this life on the exact same dates as our beloved prophet, I have to say, is not only crazy, but quite special. Two great people, who are now in a better place. Every year, if the weather is permitting, I have tried to visit a cemetery in honor of Tandi. I did it one year with Aaron, and have tried to carry on the tradition with my own kids. Well, I missed this year, and will NEVER again. If you have ever experienced the loss of a family member or friend, the cemetery takes on a whole other meaning. And even though this may sound creepy, it's a neat experience to visit one in rememberance of someone you've lost. So, in closing to this blog, I just want to say that families truly are eternal, and I am grateful for this knowledge. And to my family and friends who I don't say this enough to, I love you all!

Aliyah's Leg Warmers

Ali found some of my snow socks and put them on all by herself. She came into the kitchen to show me and fell right on her bum. I had to capture some of it on video.

Cheese Mommy!

I was playing with my camera, and the kids literally walked in like this ready to pose. This is Ali's favorite thing to do right now. We call it her scary face.

Curly Q

Grammie, this post is for you. I hope you can see the curls. She just got out of the bath.

"All I want is a Styx cover band!"

All Marc asked for his birthday was a Styx cover band. It's been a joke for months, so I had some of his friends and brothers fulfill his 30th birthday dream. Watch Dain in the back(drummer), I die every time.

Marc turned the big Three Oh!!

I made a three tier chocolate ganache cake. Each tier was it's own decade of pictures. It was so fun to make.

Sledding on New Years Day

I really HATE the cold, and I protested of this day ever happening. But when all was said and done, I had lots of fun. I love my little family.

My little book worm

The next generation of Akoni & April!

I think he really is trying to strangle her. I totally caught him in the act.
